Welcome to Bell-E-Acres Alpacas

South Carolina near the foothills of the
beautiful Appalachia mountains, close to the
borders of North Carolina and Georgia.  We
are located just outside Greenville, SC

Mark and Cynthia Skorupinski opened Bell-E-Acres Alpacas in the spring of
2004 with the purchase of two older pregnant female alpacas.  This endeavor
was the start of a dramatically different lifestyle for us and one that we had
been working towards ever since being introduced to alpacas at a county fair
in Northern Virginia a few years previously.  We now have seven alpacas with
more on the way and are very excited to watch our small herd of alpacas
growing yearly.

The name of our farm was passed along to us  with the large bell from Mark's
parents.  They used to operate a black angus farm in Missouri and have been
very supportive of our efforts to become involved in raising livestock.
                         Our Purpose and Commitment

We recognize alpaca breeding as a means to producing quality fiber
that may be used in clothing, accessories and for decoration.  We are
breeding for color, fleece density and fineness of fiber.  It is our
expectation to be able to provide fiber artists, spinners and others
interested in utilizing alpaca fiber with a varied choice and a quality
product that will enhance their own creations.

We are committed to providing for the needs of each of our alpacas in
a manner that will allow them a healthy and productive life.  Each of our
alpacas receives hands-on care daily as regular interaction encourages
them to be gentle and friendly as a natural outgrowth of their inherent
curiosity.

                              Services We Provide

  • Bell-E-Acres Alpacas offers a fun and inviting atmosphere for visiting and
    learning more about alpacas.  We provide The ABC's of Alpacas program of
    hands-on activities for school groups to learn about the alpacas and their
    fiber.  Every child goes home with a self-made creation from our own
    alpaca fiber.

  • Bell-E-Acres welcomes visitors who would like to learn more about raising
    alpacas.  We are always willing to share our experiences and information
    relating to the care and well being of alpacas.  

  • Fibre artists and spinners can contact us for purchasing raw fleece at a
    reasonable price.

  • Demonstrations and instructional guidance for felting fleece can also be
    arranged.  Workshop schedules will be posted as they become available.

Future services will include stud services and Alpaca sales.
